Spring Council 2019 came and went. Not a peep about abortion. Not a peep about BRI’s work. Not a peep about a change to the non-biblical policy. Not a peep about a GC 2020 vote.
I’ve heard whispers about things going on behind the scenes. Don’t worry, I’m told. We have people in high places who are working on this. I’ve been hearing this for awhile from different people.
In the meantime, nothing happens. Perhaps something IS happening behind the scenes. If yes, then why is it under the cloak of darkness? Did the Reformers work this way? Did Wycliffe and Luther cower from the threats of Rome? What about Huss and Jerome? Did Smith, Andrews and the Whites keep things close to the vest? Why the lack of transparency?
I, for one, don’t buy it. It’s been 50 years, folks. If we don’t have at least two members of the GC Executive Committee who have the courage to stand up to this doctrine of demons then I fear for our church. To date, can anybody name even one?
If anybody is interested in protesting starting at noon, June 24, 2020 in front of delegate hotels (GC begins June 25) then please email me via this blog. Planning committee commences immediately after the 2019 Annual Council meetings. If the Annual Council fails to address this matter adequately then it’s FULL SPEED AHEAD!!!
